LEC GROUP CERTIFIED BY FOREST STEWARDSHIP COUNCIL - FSC®
Bureau Veritas Certification Holding SAS certifies that LEC GROUP has implemented a  FSCTM product groups control system according to the Forest Stewardship Counci/TM  certification system, in the above location and complies with the requirements of FSC Standard.
 
With this certificate LEC Group is ready to supply wood chips to the most demanding global markets: Korea and Japan
 
The Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) is an independent NGO created in response to growing concern over deforestation.
 
Founded in 1993, today it is globally recognized for promoting forest certification.
 
The FSC® certification is a voluntary standard that supports responsible forest management on a global scale.
 
All FSC® certified forest products are verified throughout their supply chain - from origin to final destination.
 
FSC is a voluntary certification scheme that sets out best practices for forest management worldwide. By becoming FSC certified, forest owners and managers demonstrate that they are managing their forests responsibly.
 
FSC certification is currently applied in 81 countries, covering an area of more than 190 million hectares. All forest products can be certified, be it timber or non-timber forest products such as mushrooms and latex, but timber is the main product. FSC is developing new tools for certificate holders to access emerging markets for ecosystem services. FSC has adjusted requirements for group certification and small and low-intensity managed forests (SLIMF).
 
Additional to the forest management standard, there is a chain of custody standard to provide credible assurance that forest products sold as FSC certified originate from well-managed forests, controlled sources, reclaimed materials, or a mixture of these. FSC chain of custody certification facilitates the transparent flow of goods from the forest, through all the processing and trading stages, to the final consumer.
