On the afternoon of March 26, at the Chan May Port, the People's Committee of Hue City, in coordination with LEC Group, held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Chan May Logistics Center.

Hue City ‘s leaders and LEC Group representatives at the groundbreaking ceremony, highlighting a shared commitment to boosting regional trade and logistics.

The project has a total investment capital of over VND 1,500 billion and will be developed on an area of 33.62 hectares. The Chan May Logistics Center will include a modern warehousing system, a commodity coordination hub, and services for customs and multimodal transportation.

The Chan May Logistics Center is anticipated to play a vital role in transforming Central Vietnam into a dynamic trade gateway. By streamlining import-export activities and extending seamless connections with Laos through the East–West Economic Corridor, the project will unlock new opportunities for regional economic integration.

The project is set to enhance the competitiveness of Hue City’s logistics sector while generating significant employment opportunities for the local workforce—contributing to the city’s socio-economic growth and the overall development of Central Vietnam’s logistics landscape.

Beyond its role as a vital node in both national and international supply chains, the Central Vietnam Logistics Center is envisioned to act as a catalyst for sustainable development within the Chan May – Lang Co Economic Zone. It is also expected to enhance cross-border connectivity with Laos, paving the way for deeper regional economic integration.
